Education:

I obtained both my PhD degree and MA degree in English Philology at Vilnius University.  I have also completed a course  of specialized translation studies (English – Lithuanian languages) at Vilnius University.

I also have a diploma in Economics from the International Business School of Vilnius University.

Employment & representation:

I started teaching at Vilnius university right after getting my MA in English Philology. Apart from teaching at the university, I’ve been quite actively involved in teacher training programs at  Teachers’ Professional Training Center and National Exam Center. I also helped to design and taught for 3 years a special writing course for civil servants at the Institute of Lithuanian Public Administration.

I was employed at Vytautas Magnus university in Kaunas as a postdoctoral researcher from March 2012 to February 2014. My postdoctoral research details.

I have a substantial project work experience  both in terms of research projects and networking projects (more details).

Since June 2018, I am a member of the Committee of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Research Council of Lithuania.

Since August 2023 I am the head of the Institute of English, Romance and Classical Studies at Vilnius University, Faculty of Philology.

I was a representative for Lithuania in the Programme Committee for the specific programme implementing Horizon 2020 – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) – ‘Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies’ as well as a representative for Lithuania in the EU framework programme Horizon Europe for Cluster 2: Culture, creativity and inclusion (2021-2023)
